Advent Day 10- No two snowflakes are alike

12/10/14- It's snowflake day!  Let's look up facts about snowflakes and then let's make some ourselves!

Snowflakes have six sides, but no two are alike.  The largest snowflake on record was 15 inches wide and 8 inches thick...what other snowflake facts do you know?

We had a good friend, good snowflake snacks, and in the end some really cool handmade snowflakes.

  1. First, let me say that you are WAY more creative and ambitious than I am, and my hat is off to you. But I was a little disappointed to see the four-sided paper snowflakes. Once you learn how, it's not really that hard to cut six-sided paper snowflakes, and they look much nicer than the four-sided ones.. You can Google for directions. Maybe next year you can try it!

  2. Hee hee...I try to keep my hands off my kids creatin';) I didn't post picture of MY snowflakes;) I agree...six sided are prettier! Ava has been snowflake obsessed this week and is getting better with figuring out the folds...the folding in thirds she just finds time consuming, I think;) Maybe she'll be more patient next year;)
